Trailer Thursday: Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver

It is Thursday again, so that means I get to share another book trailer with you. Now, I know this is technically more of a children's book, but I read younger to check books out for my niece who loves to read. I came across this book in my research and thought I had to share it with you. Maybe you know of a young person that needs a good fall read.

Liesl lives in a tiny attic bedroom, locked away by her cruel stepmother. Her only friends are the shadows and the mice - until one night a ghost appears from the darkness. It is Po, who comes from the Other Side. Both Liesl and Po are lonely, but together they are less alone.

That same night, an alchemist's apprentice, Will, bungles an important delivery. He accidentally switches a box containing the most powerful magic in the world with one containing something decidedly less remarkable.

Will's mistake has tremendous consequences for Liesl and Po, and it draws the three of them together on an extraordinary journey. (Goodreads)

Now, on to the videos. The first one includes a little bit of background from the author on how she came up with the idea and what led her to writing this book. The second one is more of the traditional book trailer. Enjoy!

  2. I have this one on my TBR stack (the neverending one)...I've loved both other books of Oliver's I've read, but I don't usually read MG so I'm cautious about this one.

    It looks so cute though!
