Welcome to the second week of a brand new weekly event called "To Buy" Thursday, hosted here, that shares a book or books that have made it to my "To Buy" list.
I do not know about you, but there are a lot of great books already published that I have not read yet that I know it is just a matter of time before I buy them or hope that someone else buys it for me. Don't we all wish that last part happened more often. Well, I wanted a fun way to share these books with you, so I created To Buy Thursday. Occasionally, I will even include why it was added, who suggested it to me, or other fun facts related to it making the "To Buy" list.
Book Blurb: Daughter of a controlling mother, Elizabeth finally lets loose one night, drinking at a nightclub and allowing a strange man's seductive Russian accent lure her to a house on Lake Shore Drive. The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman known as Abigail Lowery lives on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she designs sophisticated security system--and supplements her own security with a fierce dog and an assortment of firearms. She keeps to herself, saying little, revealing nothing. But Abigail's reserve only intrigues police chief Brooks Gleason. Her logical mind, her secretive nature, and her unromantic viewpoints leave him fascinated but frustrated. He suspects that Abigail needs protection from something--and that her elaborate defenses hide a story that must be revealed. (Taken From Goodreads)
Why: Sara Reyes with Fresh Fiction said she had read the book three times it was so good. This made the obvious choice for my "To Buy Thursday" pick.
What has made it to your "To Buy" list? Check out the simple rules below to participate:
- Find a book that you really want to buy and share it with others in a post.
- Be sure to grab the official To Buy Thursday (TBT) badge and include it in your post.
- Want to share your posts with me, then post a link to your blog in the comments.
I hope you will join in the fun and if not at least come back next week to see what else is worthy of being mentioned for To Buy Thursday (TBT).
Happy Reading!

I've actually NEVER read anything by Nora Roberts if you can believe that.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to give her books a try and this oune sounds like a great place to start!
The lady who suggested it, Sara Reyes, has read a lot of Nora Roberts but she never talks about them like they are must reads. I figure if she is willing to read it three times it must be good.
DeleteThis will be my first Nora Roberts book as well. I always feel really silly when I have to admit I have never read her either.
I apologize for the absurdity that is my post right now. It looks so much better when I left it but apparently blogger disregarded my use of the enter key. I promise to fix it when I get back to a computer with Internet.
